Issue # 8 Summer 2010 !

Editorial

Here we are, bringing our second SOL year to a glorious closure with messages that feel as if they are directly from the Earth herself, learning to listen more closely to the soft, sensuous guidance that seems to come from Divine Mind itself - guiding us as a loving parent would.

For this SOL issue, I felt compelled to re-read the Hopi prophecies and a book I love for its utter relevancy to our inspiring RCoR material: Robes by Penny Kelly. Some things just fit "hand in glove". The core messages of the thousand-year-old Hopi Prophecies are urgent reminders to humanity as well - to re-bond, to "blend" with the land; to connect with our seed as precious consciousness ready to bring forth the miracle of food from the Earth for us; to plant in reverence and timing with the subtle, ever-changing guidance of Nature. Then, many prophecies say, the Earth can and will calm. But if it stays disrespected and disconnected, "good luck to us all"!

So here is our summer cover with our precious little Goddess. She reminds us of the next generation, to whom we should be so very responsible; of the sacredness of seeds; of our task to do a second seeding for the next growing season; or of remembering to collect, save and share our seeds. So, find inside this issue articles to remind, support and instruct us all in what's closest to our hearts: Living SOL Diary; Seeds; Soil; Bonding with Earth; Amazing Human Capacities; Babies' Teachings; Pre-Birth Contracts; Sacred Sexuality and Sacred Economics - all there to remind us of our powers and blessings as earthly and cosmic beings.

I used to carry a curious image in my heart when thinking about our own Space of Love here - strange because I am hardly religious. I would think of our land as an ark, as in Noah's Ark. And not until I found a reference to the word Noah also being etymologically related to "Noesis", namely knowing, consciousness, insight, intuitive thinking (vs. Dianoia, as rational, logical thinking) did I understand my own associations more clearly. Our times are times of intense challenges on all levels of our cultural constructs. It was the intuitive knowing, "Noeh", which inspired and guided the "Noah" of the bible (and other cultures' mythological Noahs) into the actions which carried their groups of conscious beings across the "troubled waters" of their times. And from the Gnostics we learned that the dimensions of the Ark actually corresponded to the geometrical dimensions of the well-balanced human vessel. Also, they actually thought of the Ark more as a luminous cloud protecting the people.

To my surprise I found that the ancient Hopis, too, used the term Spiritual Ark when referring to this certain way of living which stabilizes and calms the land and prevents possible catastrophes. And the Brazilian mystic, J. Trigueirinho, refers to a certain kind of higher consciousness as a spiritual vessel - Noah's Vessel (see our back-cover). So what does all that mean to us, re-bonding, re-educating and re-communing with each other and the land - whether it be via a beet we are keeping as our daily friend, or our full-fledged Space of Love Kin's domain? I think it means just that: We create small and larger "Arks of Noeh" - islands of sweet consciousness that can float easily above the troubles of this world, modeling and beckoning others to join, just as the real or mythological Noah must have done. Come climb on board of a blessed, loving consciousness which loves, nurtures and cherishes all of life - and DO indeed share our SOL via emails, links, networking, so more and more people can gladly sail above the troubled waters of their lives.

Statement of Purpose

 We recognize the present time as a transitional period for humanity, with massive transformations on their way to a new era of more refined living. We consider the signs of our times final calls - of Nature and of Divine Mind - to heed the messages to create Spaces of Love, literal pieces of land sustainably nurtured, or metaphoric spaces of love, so as to assist people with this transition gracefully and joyfully into a new era of global love and harmony.
